Why is it important to protect your children from UVA and UVB?

Children's eyes are very sensitive to UV radiation, so extra attention needs to be paid to protecting them. In children younger than one year, the cornea and especially the lens are still insufficiently developed to protect the retina. At this age, up to 90% of UVA and 50% of UVB can reach the retina and thus cause eye damage. The lens continues developing until the child is 12 years old. That is why it is very important to protect children's eyes from birth.
