Monkey Mum® Bed Rail Short - Unboxed

Barrier SHORT has a fixed length 102 cm and a height of 60 cm. Thanks to its special design, it is ideal for frameless and box-spring beds, where the mattress lies freely on the base. It can also be used with some bed frames, however, it is necessary to keep in mind that due to the frame it may not be possible to fold the barrier down.

USE

ASSEMBLY

The barrier does not need to be screwed in — simply place it on the bed slats or between the mattresses and secure it firmly with the safety belt.

How does this version differ from the FLIP model?

If you are looking for a barrier for home use, the model SHORT and FLIP are similar, but differ in these points:

• Dimensions: The Short barrier has a fixed length of 102 cm and a height of 60 cm. The FLIP model is longer, covering a larger part of the bed, and has two barrier heights: 71 cm and 84 cm.
• Bed type: The bed barrier can also be used for frame beds, if there is enough space between the mattress and the frame to slide it in. In this case, the folding mechanism of the barrier cannot be used. However, this usually does not pose a problem, because the children's bed barrier is 102 cm long and can be easily stepped around from the bed.
• Mattress height: This barrier is also designed for very high mattresses (up to 30 cm), whereas the FLIP model is for mattresses up to 25 cm.
  

Comparison with a travel bed rail

Unlike the travel bed rail, which is a soft foam rail, this barrier offers:

• A solid barrier: The barrier has a metal construction that physically stops the child if they toss and turn a lot during the night. The rail is more of a psychological, gently raised edge.
• High protection: With a height of 60 cm, the barrier provides much greater protection than a rail, which you will appreciate for children who move around more in bed or try to climb.
• Access to the bed: You can simply fold the barrier down and sit next to your child. With a rail, you have to either move it or remove it. 
• Compactness: A rail is lighter to carry by hand, but this barrier is very flat when disassembled and takes up minimal space in the car trunk.
