Dear Monkey Mum Foundation,
We are reaching out to you as a family of five facing enormous challenges. Our oldest son is Kuba, who unfortunately suffers from the rare Warburg micro syndrome. This serious diagnosis means that at the age of ten, Kuba still needs care and support at the level of a three-month-old baby. His condition is complex – he cannot sit, crawl, or walk, and he depends on special feeding methods such as a PEG tube.
Kuba was born with cataracts, which were detected as early as the 17th week of pregnancy. Despite all expectations and the efforts of doctors, his condition worsened significantly. Blindness is another severe disability Kuba must cope with. Every day brings challenges that we have tried to address through rehabilitation therapies and careful care.
Our whole family has been shaken by this situation, but we are trying to stay together and find ways to give Kuba and our two other healthy children love, joy, and the care they need. We are a family that loves spending time in nature, and although we have tried to include Kuba in our activities, his condition now prevents us from all going on trips to the mountains together.
That is why we would like to humbly ask for your financial help. With your support, we could secure professional day care for Kuba, which would allow us to devote time to our two younger children and give them experiences that we unfortunately cannot share with Kuba. Your donation would greatly help us ease this heavy burden and enable us, as a family, to experience joyful moments together.
With heartfelt thanks to you all for your amazing kindness and support,
Tereza, Róbert, Kuba, Viliam, Oliver Sisák
