Mother’s Day is approaching, and you may already be thinking about how to make your mom happy. In our previous post, we introduced you to the history of the holiday and tips for store-bought gifts, and in today’s one, something handmade. Almost every mom will be pleased by good chocolate, even more so when it is made by her children.
You will need:
- good-quality dark chocolate
- everything your mom likes (nuts, raisins, coconut, vanilla sugar, or even chili...)
Method:
In a water bath, melt the chocolate; as soon as it is liquid, pour it into silicone molds (it can be for mini cakes, or if you have them, various shapes too - hearts, teddy bears ...). Add treats to the warm chocolate. I used vanilla sugar, coconut, rum raisins, and cinnamon. For lovers of spicy flavors, chili or pepper is definitely an option. For playful moms, you can add gummy bears or mini marshmallows. Others will appreciate various spices - cinnamon, nutmeg, anise. The sky’s the limit. Then put the mold in the fridge, let it set overnight, and on Sunday we can serve it. Perhaps decorated with a ribbon or a blooming twig.
