There are plenty of ideas for Christmas crafts, so it depends on what you're willing to try with your children. Not all children are enthusiastic about crafting, and not all can sit for long periods of time. It is therefore a good idea to choose decorations that are done in no time, are not too labor-intensive, and will keep the children entertained. We'll give you a few tips.
Christmas decorations in a few minutes
Garland of dried citrus slices
A very simple decoration: just slice oranges, mandarins or lemons into rounds, hang them on a string and let them dry. Not only does it look beautiful, it also smells amazing.

Tree ornaments
In addition to classic glass or plastic ornaments, you can also put handmade ones on the tree this year. You can make them from paper, from cork, or they can be dried slices of oranges or simply filled transparent plastic balls, for example with beads, wires, ribbons, etc.

Candle holder from a preserving jar
You can paint the jar with the children, decorate it with stickers, sprinkle something on it, or tie string or ribbon around it. Then all you need to do is put a candle inside, and the candle holder is ready.

Paper chain
You may remember this craft from kindergarten or school. Just cut strips from colored paper and make circles that link together like a chain. Nothing more than scissors, paper, and glue is needed.

Snow globe from a preserving jar
A snow globe will take you a little more work, but the children will certainly like it. If you have very small children who could break the jar, you can make a so-called sensory bottle in the same way. Put everything into a plastic bottle and the result will be very similar.
If you're not afraid to use a jar, then you'll also need some figurine or little animal, which you glue to the lid with a hot glue gun. Then add water, glitter, sequins or artificial snow, and glycerin or clear glue, which will make the glitter fall more slowly when turned over. Put everything into the jar, seal the lid with super glue, and you're done.

In short
Making Christmas decorations can be fun, especially if you have curious children who like to watch or have well-developed fine motor skills. Decorations you can quickly make with children include a garland of dried citrus slices, ornaments for the tree made of paper, cork or wood, as well as a candle holder in a jar, a paper chain or a snow globe made from a preserving jar.
How do you create at home? Do you prefer to wait until the children are older, or do you dare to make things even with toddlers?
